In Science class we watched a video about reasons for the seasons and Harvard Students said that the distance away from the Sun causes the seasons. I think it is the amount of heat that the Sun is radiating to Earth. So, when it is winter there is less heat going to the Earth. Now summer is the opposite when the Earth is facing the Sun there is more heat going to the Earth which is making the Earth hotter.
